Willow Lane Millwork
Type Custom Cabinetry & Millwork
Location Broward & Palm Beach County, FL
Focus Cabinetry · Interiors · Details

The project
Every wall in this room ran out somewhere. The panelling had to absorb that without ever showing it.
The work was measured on site, built to those measurements, and scribed in during installation.
The finish was applied by hand so the grain and the sheen stay consistent across a wall you can see from three rooms away.
Scope of work
- Custom library wall
- Wall panelling to the stair
- Integrated seating and storage
- Hand-applied finish

Common questions
About custom cabinetry & millwork projects
What homeowners in Broward and Palm Beach County usually ask before a project like this one begins.
- What is the difference between custom millwork and built-in furniture?
- Millwork is built for one wall in one house. It is measured on site, scribed to walls that are rarely square, and finished so it reads as part of the architecture rather than a piece placed against it.
- How long does custom cabinetry take to build and install?
- Shop fabrication is usually four to eight weeks after final measurements, with installation and hand finishing taking one to two weeks on site.
- Can millwork be added to an older house with uneven walls?
- Yes — that is the normal condition. The panelling is designed with scribe allowances so the out-of-square is absorbed in the installation and never shows in the reveals.
- Do you finish cabinetry on site or in the shop?
- Both, depending on the piece. Large panelled walls are hand finished on site so the sheen and grain stay consistent across the whole run.
